While I had one baby with me, and other babies within the cradle would work 12 hour shifts sanding flooring and tearing off wallpaper. Ha! All was starting to come together but we weren't anywhere near finished. In this undertaking I was ready to invest a significant amount of time and money shopping for my dream home. To stay on budget I began attending estate sales with my three sons to find gems hidden in the dirt. Every week, we spent the week of Thursday through Saturday at estate sales and garage sales, buying old and new furniture. After that, I stenciled and polished the driveway throughout the week. There was an area on the market to sell items. In the end, I accumulated more items that I could decide what to do with and outgrew the area. The number of people who visited my home over the course of a weekend to purchase everything on the ground floor. Growing Days was founded in my own home. Growing Days wasn't just an incredibly successful business, but as well my family. As a mom of a child I was able to strike the right way to be able to begin my own business and also be a good mother. Growing Days fit perfectly. Nora, my 4th kid was born in 2013. It was mostly those who came to my open house for furniture. In the course of my work I began adding clients one by one. However, it didn't take long before I had several clients, and had a successful home remodeling business. If you'd have predicted that this venture that I started would become the premise of a tv show on DIY Network I probably would have laughed. It's funny to think back to it.
